Benzos and other controlled substances

I’m willing to work with any regiment that contains benzodiazepenes or other controlled substances, within reason and within a psychiatric domain (for instance, I do not prescribe mood stabilizers outside of psychiatric purposes). I cannot unfortunately override scripts already given for benzos (meaning I cannot give more than initially prescribed, or if a script was already recently filled by another physician).

Mandated reporting

I am a mandated reporter - so if I feel someone is in acute danger, I am required by NY state law to report it.

Suicidality

Having suicidal thoughts does not always mean that you are in acute danger - we can talk about those thoughts! However, if you are in actual danger of seriously harming yourself, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
